These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Phosphor application ("the app") and related services. By downloading, installing, or using Phosphor, you agree to these Terms.
Phosphor provides system-wide URL filtering for iOS using Apple's NEURLFilterManager API. The service filters URLs across Safari and other apps to block ads, trackers, malware, and unwanted content using on-device Bloom filters and encrypted Private Information Retrieval (PIR) queries.
Without a subscription, you can:

While Phosphor aims to block known unwanted URLs, we do not guarantee that all ads, trackers, malware, or unwanted content will be blocked. URL filtering depends on:
Phosphor is not a replacement for antivirus software, a VPN, or safe browsing practices.
We strive to maintain high availability of the PIR server and related infrastructure. However, the service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. When the PIR server is unavailable, the on-device Bloom filter continues to function, and URLs that don't match the Bloom filter are allowed through (fail-open behavior).

Phosphor is open source under the MIT License. The source code is available at github.com/victorantos/Phosphor. The Phosphor name and branding are proprietary.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL URLS WILL BE CORRECTLY FILTERED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
